About the Artist
A graduate of Vesper George School of Art and continued art studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA). While attending Vesper George I had the privilege to learn under the “Boston School” tradition by such distinguished teachers as Robert Hunter and Robert Cormier, as they continued the teaching methods of Tarbell, Paxton and R. H. Gammell.
After art school I pursued a career in commercial art and for over 30 years working in the graphic design/marketing role for a variety of corporations that included Raytheon, Siemens, Computer Associates. In 2008 I left my job and worked as a marketing consultant while I applied for the United States Peace Corp. In 2010 I joined the Small Business Development branch of the U.S. Peace Corps and served in Morocco until 2012. Using my background in graphic design and marketing I worked along side Moroccan artisans to help with product branding, teaching better business practices and most importantly to share our life experiences and to foster a better understanding of the people and culture of our two nations.
Since my return I have setup a studio in The Brewery Complex in Jamaica Plain painting and illustrating urban and rural landscapes in all mediums while still working as commercial artist.
